Deodorant

Homemade deodorant works fantastic! If you have skin irritation from commercial deodorants, you have reached the promised land!  This is not an anti-perspirant - which prevents your pores from doing their job! You will be surprised how long your homemade deodorant outlasts anything a toxic commercial brand by comparison! Say goodbye to the yellow stains on your shirt or blouse and the constant waxy build-up on your pit hairs!

   INGREDIENTS:
   Coconut Oil* (moisturizing/antiseptic)
   Baking Soda (deodorizes armpits)
Corn Starch** or Arrowroot Powder (absorbs stinkies)
   Essential Oils (scent).
   Options:
*Add Beeswax to help raise the melting point and add more moisturizing power!
**You can replace corn starch with Arrowroot Powder - good news for those with gluten allergies!

   RECIPE:
   Coconut Oil - 3.5 tbl (35% | 3.5 parts)
*Beeswax - 1 tbl (10% | .75 parts) - if you don't use beeswax, just add to the Cocount Oil %
   Baking Soda - 3 tbl (30% | 3 parts)
   Corn Starch or Arrowroot - 2.5 tbl (25% | 2.5 parts)

NOTE: Coconut oil melts at 72 degrees - if you plan to take with you in travel, store in a small TIGHT-SEALED plastic or glass jar else you're gonna have a messy suitcase!

None of these toxins are in homemade deodorant:
Aluminum, Parabens, Propylene Glycol, TEA or DEA (triethanolamine & diethanolamine) or Triclosan

ONE DOWNER: For those with irritated reactions to baking soda...you might be out of luck. If you are not sure if you react to baking soda, just try a light paste of baking soda and water on one underarm and on your forearm. If you have a slight or mild reaction - it typically goes away after a couple of uses.
